Job Summary
Middle School Math Teacher responsible for delivering CCSS-based mathematics instruction, using in-house curriculum and culturally responsive problem-solving activities; collaborate with grade-level teams to set academic goals, analyze student data with the principal/coaches, differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, and engage families to support student learning; participate in weekly meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives to foster student achievement and a positive school culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NY state certification eligibility requirements (enrollment in a teacher preparation program and maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or higher)
- meeting NY certification requirements after start of employment
- ability to teach in urban K-12 settings
- experience or demonstrated interest in impacting urban students (1-2 years preferred)
