Job Summary
Middle School Math Teacher to deliver CCSS-based instruction in a K-12 urban charter-school network. Responsibilities include teaching foundational middle school math concepts (ratio/proportions, expressions/equations, number system), using in-house curriculum and culturally responsive problem-solving activities, data analysis with principals/coaches to differentiate instruction, and fostering a positive school culture through collaboration with families and grade-level teams. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NY state certification eligibility requirements (must enroll in a teacher preparation program and maintain GPA 2.5 or higher if not educated in-state) and become certified in New York within a reasonable period after beginning employment
- 1-2 years experience in urban education preferred
- Academic expertise in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or related fields
