Job Summary
Uncommon Schools is seeking a Middle School Math Teacher to join our NYC-area team and deliver CCSS-based math instruction to urban middle school students. You will teach foundational topics (ratio/proportions, expressions/equations, number system, and more) using our in-house math curriculum, differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners, and engage in data-driven practice with weekly coaching, feedback, and professional development. You’ll analyze student work with a principal or instructional coach, collaborate with grade-level teams to set academic goals, and cultivate a positive classroom culture that supports social-emotional and academic growth. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and NY certification eligibility; 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred. Compensation ranges from $72,000 to $115,000 plus comprehensive benefits and a supportive, equity-focused work environment.
