Job Summary
Math Teacher responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in mathematics aligned with state standards, planning and implementing lessons, differentiating instruction for diverse learners, assessing student progress, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with staff to support student achievement; teaches courses such as Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and/or Calculus as assigned; engages in professional development and school initiatives, communicates with students/parents, and upholds school policies and classroom expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid state teaching license/certification in Mathematics (or ability to obtain)
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Commitment to student achievement and continuous improvement
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching secondary math courses
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with diverse student populations
- Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with data-driven instruction and educational technology
