Job Summary
Teach middle school mathematics in San Antonio, Texas for the 2026-2027 school year; responsibilities include developing lesson plans, planning and using instructional strategies and materials aligned with the district curriculum, assessing student learning styles and results, collaborating with special education staff to modify curricula as needed, coordinating with staff to set instructional goals, supervising instructional aides/volunteers, conducting ongoing assessments, sponsoring extracurricular activities, modeling professional behavior, creating a positive classroom environment, managing behavior per the Student Code of Conduct, safeguarding students and materials, selecting instructional materials, maintaining records, communicating with parents and community, and participating in staff development, while complying with district safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- General knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
