Job Summary
The Middle School Math Teacher at Missouri Connections Academy will manage virtual instructional programs, ensuring students successfully complete their coursework. Responsibilities include grading, creating progress reports, conducting parent conferences, supporting the instructional program through web conferencing sessions, and communicating with parents, students, and colleagues. The Teacher will collaborate with others to develop student learning plans, manage student records, and organize regional field trips. Candidates must be certified to teach Middle School Math in Missouri, demonstrate strong communication skills, technology proficiency, and a flexible, customer-focused approach.
Required Qualifications
- Highly qualified and certified to teach Middle School Math in Missouri (appropriate to grade level and content area responsibilities)
- Demonstrated ability to work well in fast-paced environment
- Team player track record
- Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Professional Learning Communities
- Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Customer focused approach
- Ability to work remotely, if necessary
- Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
