Job Summary
Plan, organize, and deliver developmentally appropriate, research-based instruction that addresses Kentucky's learning goals while implementing activities for students with individualized needs and IEPs. Create and maintain a learning climate that supports student outcomes, assist in parent involvement programs, and evaluate specific teaching situations through conferences and portfolios. Collaborate with peers, supervisors, and instructional assistants to supervise program activities, develop classroom rules, and administer standardized tests. Maintain accurate records, protect student safety, and participate in staff meetings, committees, and professional development as designated by the principal.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Required Kentucky certificate for the assigned position
- Kentucky teacher certificate for assigned position through Education Professional Standards Board
