Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and deliver math instruction to students in grades 6-8 using school curriculum goals while integrating Catholic values into the classroom. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, engaging them in active learning and problem-solving processes. Manage student behavior by establishing rules, providing appropriate feedback on work, and differentiating instruction to address individual needs. Maintain accurate records of student progress, participate in department and parent meetings, and communicate regularly with students, colleagues, and parents regarding academic and personal development. Prepare classroom activities, assign and grade assignments, and uphold all school policies and procedures to foster a safe, inclusive environment consistent with Archdiocese standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Education or relevant field
- Certification with Iowa Board of Educational Examiners in teaching and in appropriate subject area, Math
- In-depth knowledge of teaching methods and legal educational procedures
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in the use of educational technology
- Self-motivated
- Well-organized with leadership abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
- Professional oral and written communication skills
- Flexible, adaptive, and cooperative
