Job Summary
Instruct students in assigned math content areas using direct instruction, audio-visual aids, and materials to engage learning while setting clear short-term and long-term goals. Develop and submit weekly and long-range lesson plans containing standards, objectives, assessments, and homework assignments. Consistently use data to evaluate pupil progress, record results, and issue meaningful reports to inform parents. Create and implement student intervention plans when necessary, maintaining effective supervision and discipline in the classroom. Work with interdisciplinary teams to align curricula, address student needs, and provide accommodations for all learners. Lead and participate in student activities, including coaching sports teams, chaperoning events, and working with parents and the community. Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and staff committees as required. Abide by state and federal mandates regarding abuse reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- valid Tennessee teaching license with the appropriate content endorsement
- valid out of state license that can successfully be transferred to Tennessee within 90 days of employment
- demonstrate you are on track to complete the necessary steps towards certification in Tennessee
- enroll in an EPP program (if qualifying for a Practitioner license)
