Job Summary
Supervise and manage the school library while providing services that enable students to locate, evaluate, and synthesize information for problem-solving. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, a valid Texas Teacher certificate, and either a valid Texas Librarian certificate or willingness to obtain one within three years. Candidates must possess three years of teaching experience, with two years in a public school library/media center setting preferred. The position involves a 193-day employment term and includes responsibilities such as instructing student behavior, overseeing library aides, and promoting literacy through digital learning strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university in Education or similar field
- Valid Texas Teacher certificate
- Valid Texas Librarian, Learning Resources Specialist certificate or endorsement
- Three years' teaching experience
