Job Summary
Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned 8th Grade English Language Arts instruction covering reading comprehension, literary analysis, and writing skills. Differentiate lessons to support students across grade levels while using assessment data to drive targeted interventions. Establish a structured, high-expectations classroom environment that fosters student voice, collaboration, and respectful discussion. Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to improve teaching practices and participate in weekly professional learning communities. Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and lead parent-teacher conferences. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Education, English, Secondary Education, Elementary Education, or a relevant content area)
- Valid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area
- Minimum of three (3) years of K–12 teaching experience
- Strong classroom management skills
- Pass required background checks and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven instructional mindset
- Collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environment
