Middle School History Teacher

Middle School History Teacher at Kairos Academies in St. Louis, MO. Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned World History, U.S. History, Geography, and Civics units; facilitate project-based learning, DBQs, debates, simulations, and performance tasks that connect past events to contemporary issues. Use MAP, NWEA, and internal assessments to differentiate instruction and close achievement gaps; maintain gradebooks and provide frequent, actionable feedback on student writing and discussion. Serve as a Kairos “Coach,” mentoring a pod of students weekly to build executive functioning, goal-setting, and personal accountability; foster an inclusive classroom culture; communicate with families about progress. Collaborate with content teams, participate in coaching cycles and professional development, and contribute to school-wide improvement through service roles (e.g., Tutoring Lead, Assessment Coordinator, Safety Lead). Compensation follows the Teacher First model (Professional: $60,000; Advanced: $70,000; Exemplary: $80,000) with a $1,500 signing bonus for 2025-26.
