Job Summary
The Middle School Head Coach at Columbus School for Girls is responsible for student supervision during athletic practices and games, reporting all game results to the Athletic Department, and maintaining sport-specific statistics. The coach must display professionalism in communication with athletes and parents, establish team rules, and effectively communicate with the Athletic Department and Athletic Trainer. Required qualifications include current coaching certifications, background checks, and attendance at mandatory meetings. Ideal candidates will have a commitment to empowering young women in sports.
Required Qualifications
- Complete and remain current in all required coaching certifications
- ODE: Pupil Activity Permit (3 years)
- Coaches’ Tool Chest (Annual)
- BCI/FBI Background Check (5 years)
- Attend all required OHSAA rules meetings and coaches meetings
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of the value of an all-girls education
- Eagerness to learn about coaching young women
Additional Requirements
- Coaches are not to engage in discussion surrounding their program or CSG Athletics with non-CSG students
- Building access cards are designated for the assigned coach and are not to be shared under any circumstances
