Job Summary
Organize, lead, and oversee all aspects of the Middle School Girls Basketball program, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Foster community spirit consistent with the school's mission among coaches, student-athletes, and parents while building positive relationships with families, faculty, and administration. Plan and implement effective practice sessions, instruct techniques, and coordinate game schedules, travel, and field usage with the athletics department. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches in collaboration with the Athletic Director. Represent the school at league preseason and postseason meetings and manage program equipment and uniforms. Adhere to rules and regulations of the Bay Area Conference, North Coast Section, and California Interscholastic Federation.
Required Qualifications
- Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level
- Must have a strong understanding of basketball rules, regulations, fundamentals, strategy, and skill development
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and mentor student-athletes
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, staff, and administrator
