Job Summary
Coordinate and supervise all middle school physical education and athletic programs; lead the athletic program to align with high school feeder patterns; assist in hiring coaches; oversee coach performance and compliance with UIL/CFISD rules; ensure student-athlete eligibility, discipline, and safety; collaborate with campus administration, district athletic department, and HS coaches to reflect programs and training methodologies; manage equipment inventory and facility maintenance; maintain CPR/First Aid/AED certification and other mandated requirements; participate in district-wide athletic events and data collection related to athlete academic and athletic performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teacher certificate
- General knowledge of coaching techniques and strategies
- Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations
- A minimum of three (3) years of coaching experience in a formal educational setting
- Experience as a coach in more than one sport
- Positive teaching experience in Kinesiology or other teaching fields
- Demonstrates leadership in working with diverse students, staff, families, and communities
