Job Summary
Plan and implement a flexible classroom program that adheres to adopted courses of study while developing lesson plans consistent with established guidelines. Present subject matter using differentiated instruction and diagnostic assessments to maximize student learning and address individual needs. Maintain accurate student records, review oral presentations, and prepare students for state achievement assessments. Establish positive rapport with students, staff, and parents by communicating clearly, enforcing conduct policies, and coordinating field trips. Collaborate with administration and other staff on curriculum planning and revision, while participating in extracurricular activities to support school culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited college or university
- valid teaching certification
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of successful teaching experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Command of grades/subject specific content
- theoretical knowledge of learning theory
