Job Summary
Provide 1:1 or small group tutoring in middle school English in schools or libraries; develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles; use creative, hands-on approaches to engage; maintain accurate documentation of sessions and progress; communicate with parents regularly and with the student’s teacher as needed; adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences; travel within New Castle County to various locations (schools, libraries); part-time role with up to 10 hours/week between 8AM-3PM; in-person, flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 2 years teaching or tutoring experience with middle school-aged students
- Experience working with students with learning differences
- Ability to travel to different locations in New Castle County
