Job Summary
Middle School Language Arts Teacher needed at Saints Mary & Mathias Catholic School (SMMCS) for a full-time, in-school role. Responsibilities include leading instruction in reading, writing, grammar, and literature for middle school students; lesson planning; assessing student progress; fostering strong communication skills; creating an engaging classroom environment that encourages discussion, analysis, and a love of learning; supporting cross-curricular connections; and helping students develop organization, study habits, and independent thinking. Collaboration with colleagues, administration, and support staff is emphasized within a faith-centered environment. The position follows a 190-day school year with a Monday–Friday schedule, regular conferences, professional development days, and full benefits.
