Middle School English Language Arts Teacher - Alabama Connections Academy

Middle School English Language Arts Teacher for Alabama Connections Academy. From our office in Athens or your home office within Alabama, certified teachers will manage instructional programs, consulting with learning coaches and students to ensure successful completion of the instructional program. Responsibilities include organizing and administering State Testing, participating in Title III professional development, grading, creating progress reports, conducting parent conferences, supporting asynchronous web conferencing and synchronous instruction, using supplemental programs to support English Learners, reviewing curriculum and adapting lessons, communicating with parents and students, developing Personal Learning Plans and schedules, mentoring with school leadership to maintain the English Learner Advisory Committee, collaborating with teachers to ensure progress, maintaining detailed knowledge of K-12 curricula, assisting with alternate strategies and daily assignments, maintaining student records, and participating in student recruitment and marketing activities. Travel for occasional meetings and events and ability to work remotely are required. Must reside in Alabama and be appropriately certified to teach in Alabama, with strong technology and communication skills, and a flexible, team-oriented approach.
