Job Summary
AMS is hiring full-time, on-site Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) teachers for the 2026–2027 school year at three Phoenix-area campuses (AMS Flower, AMS Desert Sky, and AMS Peoria Advanced). Responsibilities include delivering standards-aligned ELA instruction, differentiating for diverse learners, using formative and summative assessment data to plan targeted interventions, developing reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and critical thinking skills, establishing a structured PBIS-based classroom culture, supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth, collaborating in weekly professional development and PLCs, engaging families, and contributing to school-wide improvement efforts. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, or a related field, or a valid Arizona teaching certificate in a relevant subject area, or at least three years of K–12 teaching experience; preferred SEI Endorsement; must obtain Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and pass background checks; a commitment to Title I and multilingual communities; strong analytical and data-driven instructional mindset; and ability to collaborate while maintaining high professional standards.
