Middle School ELA teachers - SST Sugar Land College Prep

Provide middle school ELA instruction aligned to the district’s curriculum with emphasis on meeting each student’s intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Responsibilities include planning a program of study, creating a conducive classroom environment, preparing differentiated lessons, maintaining records, assessing student progress, coordinating with teachers and administrators, supervising aides/volunteers, and participating in professional development. Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree, Texas teacher certification for the appropriate level/subject, and meet the district’s highly qualified standards; ESL/Bilingual and SPED certification requirements apply as noted. Skills include curriculum knowledge, effective written and oral communication, classroom management, varied instructional techniques, data-informed planning, and collaboration with students, parents, and the community. Nights/weekend activities may be required; light office/technician tasks and travel within campus or district may occur.
