Job Summary
Middle School ELA Teacher responsible for delivering an inclusive, culturally responsive ELA curriculum; guide students to analyze texts, write across genres, and participate in meaningful, student-led discourse; employ data-informed instruction with weekly meetings with principal/coach; build an inclusive classroom culture, engage families, and participate in school-wide and grade-level collaborations; must meet NJ certification eligibility and possesses a bachelor's degree. Compensation ranges from $56,000 to $80,000 with extensive benefits and professional development; location is Philadelphia, PA (in-person) within an urban school context.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NJ state certification eligibility requirements (teacher certification not prerequisite for consideration in NJ)
- 1-2 years experience preferred in urban schools
- Academic expertise in Humanities, English, Social Sciences, or related fields
- Demonstrated commitment to social-emotional and academic development of students
