Middle School ELA Teacher responsible for delivering an inclusive, culturally responsive English Language Arts curriculum to urban middle school students; teach literature analysis, author’s purpose, and writing across genres; foster student discourse and voice; analyze student data with instructional coaches to differentiate instruction; build positive school culture, partner with families, and participate in weekly school-wide meetings and mentorship opportunities. Requires a bachelor’s degree; MA MTEL or equivalent certification/SEI endorsement within first year; compensation ranges from $71,000 to $116,000 with comprehensive benefits. 1-2 years of relevant urban-education experience preferred; formal licensure or MTEL SEI endorsement pathway outlined by MA requirements.”,
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Pass MA state certification tests (MTEL) within first year of employment
- Earn SEI (Sheltered English Immersion) endorsement within first year of employment for ELs
- MA educator’s license or SEI endorsement (where applicable) within first year of employment
- Experience: 1-2 years preferred in urban K-12 settings
