Job Summary
Middle School ELA teacher responsible for delivering an inclusive, culturally responsive English Language Arts program. Responsibilities include teaching literature analysis, guiding students to analyze texts, and fostering student voice through writing in diverse genres; meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze student work and tailor instruction; differentiate instruction to meet all learners' needs; build positive classroom culture, partner with families to support learning, participate in weekly school-wide meetings, and collaborate with grade-level teams to set academic goals. Requires a bachelor’s degree and meeting NJ certification eligibility requirements; compensation between $60,000 and $85,000 with comprehensive benefits. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NJ state certification eligibility requirements (certification not prerequisite)
- Experience: 1-2 years preferred in urban education or related settings
- Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, English, Social Sciences, or related field (as noted in posting)
