Job Summary
Middle School ELA Teacher responsible for delivering an inclusive, culturally responsive English Language Arts curriculum; guide students to analyze literary and non-narrative texts, develop writing across genres, and foster student-led discourse. Responsibilities include data analysis with weekly meetings with principal/coach, differentiating instruction for all learners, building a positive school culture, partnering with families to support learning, and participating in weekly school-wide meetings and professional development. Requires a bachelor’s degree and NJ certification eligibility; compensation ranges from $56,000 to $80,000 with comprehensive benefits. Based in Camden, NJ with in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NJ state certification eligibility requirements (a final undergraduate or graduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 for graduates on or after 9/1/16, or 2.75 if you graduated prior to 9/1/16) and the goal to become certified in New Jersey within a reasonable period after beginning employment
