Job Summary
Middle school ELA teacher to deliver literature-focused instruction, foster an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom, and support student writing, discussion, and reading comprehension. Responsibilities include instruction with an inclusive curriculum, data analysis with weekly collaboration with the principal or instructional coach to differentiate instruction and respond to trends in student work, and building positive school culture through family partnerships and participation in weekly school-wide meetings. Requires a bachelor’s degree and NY certification eligibility; compensation between $50,000 and $64,700; generous benefits and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NY state certification eligibility requirements (enroll in a teacher preparation program and maintain GPA 2.5 or higher if not educated in teaching)
