Job Summary
Connect youth with quality schools, programs, and resources while providing educational advocacy for foster care students from early intervention through high school. Collaborate with case planners, tutors, teachers, and families to assist with special education referrals, middle and high school applications, and IEP meetings. Coordinate transportation arrangements and monitor tutoring services to ensure students remain in appropriate educational settings. Track student progress using Department of Education data and enter weekly contact information and goal steps into CONNECTIONS and Fair Futures platforms. Complete administrative duties including billing and monthly program reports to support best educational practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health)
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience with at-risk or child welfare system-involved youth
- Associate's or accredited vocational degree with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience with at-risk or child welfare system-involved youth
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Some knowledge of Excel
- Ability to file documentation accurately
- Ability to engage with clients
- Understanding and willingness to commit to the agency's Mission, core values, Sanctuary Commitments and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB)
