Job Summary
Middle School CTE teacher responsible for delivering core subject instruction, developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with district curriculum, assessing student learning, collaborating with special education staff to modify curricula for IEPs, planning instructional goals with campus staff, supervising instructional aides/volunteers, monitoring student growth, managing classroom behavior, and communicating with parents and colleagues. role requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, adherence to district policies and TEA guidelines, and commitment to student development and safety; includes sponsorship of extracurricular activities and participation in professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
