Job Summary
Coach middle school cross country and assist with track coaching. Duties include organizing and supervising the team, mentoring student-athletes to develop character traits (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, citizenship), monitoring grades and conduct, and ensuring proper use and care of equipment. Must understand the technical aspects of jumps and stay current with coaching theories and procedures. Complete injury paperwork promptly, inspect facilities, and maintain equipment. Position is contracted and requires on-site presence at Emmett Middle School; apply online at the district site.
Required Qualifications
- Coaching experience in the assigned sport
- Knowledge of technical aspects of jumps
- Ability to organize and supervise a middle school team
- Ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes
- Willingness to upgrade knowledge through coaching clinics and observations
- Understanding of the duties and responsibilities of coaching staff
- Compliance with district policies on employment at will
