Job Summary
Middle School Chorus Teacher responsible for developing lesson plans and delivering engaging music instruction to grades 6–8, aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study; duties include classroom management, assessing student progress, communicating with parents, maintaining safety and district policies, and participating in staff development and PLCs; requires North Carolina teaching license or eligibility and a Bachelor's degree; 10-month full-time contract with benefits; reports to the Principal; salary determined by the state salary schedule with local supplements.
Required Qualifications
- North Carolina Teaching license or eligibility
- Bachelor’s Degree from an approved education program in the subject area
- Strong classroom management
- Knowledge of NC Standard Course of Study
- Ability to plan and differentiate instruction
- Effective communication with parents and staff
