Job Summary
Coach student athletes in middle school cheer, developing training programs and practice schedules while instructing skill sets and techniques. Plan and set up activities, practices, and games, ensuring a certified coach is present at all events. Manage logistics by arranging transportation, hotel reservations, and travel with the team bus. Maintain equipment inventories, secure storage, and enforce discipline policies and sportsmanship. Complete required paperwork, injury reports, and roster submissions; ensure athlete eligibility, insurance, and physical condition. Represent the school and district professionally with students, parents, and the community.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current standard first aid certification
- Maintains appropriate certifications and training hours as required
- Attends work regularly and is punctual
Desired Qualifications
- Previous cheer coaching experience preferred
