Job Summary
Middle School Sideline Cheer Coach for Crossroads leads and develops the squad to support athletic events, primarily football games. Responsible for teaching basic/intermediate cheer skills (cheers, chants, jumps, stunts), promoting sportsmanship and academic accountability, collaborating with the Varsity Cheer Coach for program consistency, planning regular practices with conditioning and safety training, attending JV games as assigned, maintaining attendance and injury records, ensuring compliance with school rules and athletic codes, and communicating with student-athletes, parents, and administration to foster a safe, inclusive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience, particularly at the Middle School level
- Strong knowledge of Cheer techniques
- Certificate in first aid and CPR (preferred)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes
