Job Summary
Provide students with a healthy, high quality nutritious lunch within the guidelines of the Michigan Department of Education School Lunch Program, and Oakland County Health Department consistent with the District Mission Statement. Maintain all kitchen equipment and storage areas, ensure cleanliness, and support the district by performing duties across district kitchens. Cross-trained in kitchen positions; complete Introduction to Food Service and Serv Safe. Maintain required records (daily sales sheet, deposit slips, inventory, time sheets, orders, production records) and uphold health and education standards. Follow start-up and end-of-day procedures, and perform other duties as assigned to support the Oxford Community Schools nutrition services. In-person attendance is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Introduction to Food Service through the Michigan Department of Education and Serv Safe
- Cross-trained in kitchen positions
- Maintain all necessary records, including daily sales sheet, deposit slips, monthly inventory, time sheet, order forms, production records
- Maintain Oakland County Health Department standards
- Maintain standards set forth by the Michigan Department of Education for school lunch programs as directed by Food Service Supervisor
- Carry out directions, written or oral, as issued by supervisor or designee
- Regular and predictable in-person attendance
