Job Summary
Host a student interest meeting during the Winter to explain and distribute basic information on the upcoming season. Help organize student participation in summer programs, season practices, and games. Work with team parent-volunteers to ensure timely communication and maintain a disciplined, orderly team environment. Report schedules and game results to the athletic director while ensuring athlete safety and well-being. Nurture students with Biblical principles of competition and promote academic integrity. Communicate with parents and the athletic director regarding athlete progress and behavior. Dress professionally and enforce the school's discipline policy as outlined in the staff handbook.
Required Qualifications
- coaching experience with a demonstrated passion for training students at the high school level or higher
- strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, systems, and player development
- Accepts without verbal or mental reservations The Stonehaven School's Statement of Faith and Academic Philosophy and is committed to upholding both.
- Serves Christ under the authority of a local Protestant Christian church whose beliefs and teachings are in fundamental agreement with The Stonehaven School's Statement of Faith.
Desired Qualifications
- Strives to consistently exhibit love, joy, peace, and spiritual maturity in their daily work and relationships with others in the school
- All coaches will maintain a faithful daily walk with Christ and be active in a local Protestant Christian church
- Will work collaboratively and respectively with all coaches to the glory of God and the betterment of the Stonehaven Soccer program.
- Coaches at The Stonehaven School are expected to possess a love for God, a love for the students they teach, a love for the sport they coaching, a love for the parents they serve, and a love for the school.
