Job Summary
Supervise athletes and manage assigned team members, ensuring control over all participants during practices, games, and travel. Determine scheduling and provide transportation to tournaments and special events while adhering to facility requirements. Prepare for scheduled sports events and hold practices, providing necessary training rules and safeguarding equipment and sites. Direct student managers and statisticians, enforce discipline procedures, and contact parents regarding eligibility or ineligibility. Provide proper documentation to the Athletic Director for physical examinations, parental consent, and system requirements. Maintain first aid and CPR competency and report directly to the Director of Athletics & Activities or Building Principal.
Required Qualifications
- Teaching certificate and experience preferred
- Previous coaching experience in assigned sports is desirable
- Has knowledge and background in the assigned sport
- Has taken a course or workshop or has proof of competency in first aid
- Has a certificate or completion of a class in CPR
- All qualifications are equal, and preference will be given to current faculty members
