Job Summary
Middle School Baseball Coach responsible for instructing student athletes in the fundamental baseball skills, strategy and physical training necessary for team success, while modeling good sportsmanship and character development. The role includes supervising a staff of coaches, coordinating with the Athletic Director and Principals, and guiding program philosophy and clinic education. The coach will design conferences and staff meetings, train and inform staff, delegate duties, and evaluate assistants. Administrative duties include scheduling, transportation for events, and ensuring compliance with state and league regulations. Student responsibilities focus on mentorship, academic monitoring, safety, and adherence to rules. The position also emphasizes budgeting, equipment management, facility oversight, and public relations related to promoting the sport within the school and community.
Required Qualifications
- Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
- Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport (Major sports).
- The head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
- The head coach must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through his/her instructions and actions.
