Middle School BASE Teacher

BASE Teacher in a self-contained classroom using PASS behavior management to provide intervention and instruction to assist at-risk students to develop appropriate behavior, coping skills and social skills. Responsibilities include implementing instructional and behavioral programs, planning and using appropriate learning activities, providing instruction in PASS Monitoring System and reward system, teaching replacement behaviors identified in student behavior plans, coordinating with PASS team, maintaining monitoring documents, ensuring accommodations/modifications/behavior intervention plans for students with disabilities, and maintaining effective communication with teachers, administrators, and parents. Supervises assigned paraprofessionals, participates in staff development and New Teacher Academy programs, and complies with district policies.
