Job Summary
Direct and coordinate Pinnacle View Middle School’s band program for grades 6-8; plan and deliver instruction using quality, standards-aligned musical experiences; assess student progress and provide feedback to students and stakeholders; collaborate with administration and staff to promote a positive, learner-centered environment; organize and support student performances each semester; maintain accurate records and participate in district/school staff development; integrate technology into instruction and utilize diverse instructional strategies; communicate with parents and the community to foster engagement in music education; maintain an inventory of equipment and facilities, and support the LRSD curriculum guides with a mastery-based, differentiated approach.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university teacher education program
- Current Arkansas teacher’s license appropriate for level and/or subject area assignment (6-8)
- ESOL endorsement preferred
- Competence in the total teaching experience, including designing coherent instruction, the use of questioning and discussion techniques, engaging students in learning, and the incorporation of technology in the classroom
- Submission of a 5-10 minute video demonstrating the learning experience in your classroom required
- Relevant teaching experience
- Working knowledge of relevant technology
