Job Summary
Athletic program oversight for Middle Schools: supervise and coordinate the district’s interscholastic athletic programs in collaboration with Building Principals and the Coordinator of Strategic Initiatives; develop annual budget forecasts, interscholastic and official contest schedules, and transportation for contests; supervise athletic coaches; ensure adherence to Athletic Code of Conduct and applicable laws (including Title IX); create publicity materials for events; maintain records and coordinate communications through district platforms; requires ability to work before school, after school, and on weekends, and to travel with teams as needed. Knowledge of athletics and physical fitness, federal/state regulations for school athletic programs, and coaching practices; CPR/First Aid certified; coaching certification required; strong verbal/written communication, organization, and leadership skills; ability to supervise multiple tasks and work with diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications

- Knowledge of CIAC guidelines
- Understanding of middle school athletic operations
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel with teams to events (evenings/weekends)
