Job Summary
Coordinate specific sport with a full team in compliance with MSHSAA standards while supervising students at practices and contests. Assist in implementing athletic standards, organizing practice schedules, and managing transportation, facilities, and officials. Conduct teams in an ethical manner during all events, emphasizing safety precautions and injury management procedures. Assist in the systematic return of school equipment and continue professional growth through required clinics and publications. This seasonal role requires completion of the MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses, with a salary of $2,000 per season.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of particular sport (philosophy & coaching)
- Must successfully complete the MSHSAA /NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses
- A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept
- Working knowledge of all collegiate eligibility center regulations
- Ability to sit
