Job Summary
Middle School Art Teacher responsible for designing, delivering, and coordinating Art instruction for students; teaches Art Monday-Thursday, supports curriculum development, coordinates with outside providers/vendors, maintains records, conducts staff trainings, and engages families in student Art experiences. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- State certification eligibility requirements for New York (enrollment in a teacher preparation program and maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or higher if not holding a degree in education)
- Ability to become certified in New York within a reasonable period after beginning employment
- Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 urban students (1-2 years preferred)
- Prior teaching experience or readiness for full-time teaching in a public charter school
