Job Summary
Middle School Art Teacher responsible for designing and delivering Art instruction, creating and aligning curriculum with standards, teaching Monday-Thursday, leading Art program initiatives, coordinating with outside providers, maintaining Art equipment and records, supporting summer staff orientation for the Art program, and engaging families in students’ education while collaborating with colleagues and attending meetings to uphold Uncommon Schools’ standards for excellence in Art Instruction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NY state certification eligibility requirements (enroll in a teacher preparation program and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher)
- Certification within NY state within a reasonable period after beginning employment
