Job Summary
Middle School Art Teacher responsible for delivering instruction aligned with Archdiocese standards and the school mission, creating a safe Catholic learning environment, planning lessons, using assessments to differentiate instruction, delivering a balanced program with direct, guided, and hands-on instruction, administering formal and informal assessments, maintaining classroom procedures, fostering Catholic identity and liturgical experience, communicating with parents, and performing non-instructional duties. Requires Bachelor's degree and current teacher certification in MD/VA/DC with a three-year timeline to earn certification, and a religious certification as required. On-site position in Olney, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Current teacher certification in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC
- Must obtain Maryland, Virginia, or DC certification within three years of hire
- Must obtain required religious certification (as required)
- Knowledge of child development and supervision
- Experience teaching in an elementary school setting (preferred)
