Job Summary
Provide high-quality math and science instruction for 6th–8th grade, maintain accurate attendance and academic records, and communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and behavioral concerns. Supervise Lunch/Recess as needed, attend faculty meetings and professional development opportunities, and align with Catholic doctrinal and moral teachings. The role requires acting as a representative of the Archbishop of Chicago and the Catholic Church in the school’s ministry, maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment, and participating in religious instruction and Catholic identity formation as directed by the principal. The position is on-site at the Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic Schools with a salary range between $38,527 and $68,776 for Lay employees (and $35,686–$62,316 for Religious employees), and requires a Bachelor's degree and state licensure (PEL preferred).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) preferred
- Must have valid state licensure for the grade/subject area (preferred, not required)
- Must complete Catholic identity formation training
