Middle SCH Math Teacher - Forest Heights STEM Academy

Teach middle school mathematics at Forest Heights STEM Academy. Plan a program of study that meets individual student needs and abilities, create a conducive learning classroom environment, prepare for classes with written evidence of preparation, and guide students toward curriculum goals. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media, assess student progress, provide progress reports, participate in staff meetings, maintain content area inventory, integrate mathematics with other content areas, identify and utilize community resources such as field trips, and assume primary responsibility for teaching mathematics to assigned students. Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and communicate effectively; experience with online databases is noted as beneficial. The position is a nine-and-a-quarter-month contract (190 days) with a benefits package; salary placement is based on experience, and FLSA is exempt.
