Job Summary
Coach girls volleyball for grades 1-4 and 5-8; schedule practices in the late afternoon/early evening (typically 3:30pm-5pm, two-three days per week) and games 1-2 days per week (typically 5:30pm-8:30pm, Mon-Thu); uphold mission and values of the International School of Texas; maintain confidentiality; model professionalism and sportsmanship; monitor fitness and report injuries; supervise all practices and competitions; follow safety policies; instruct on strategy, skills, and rules; motivate athletes; use positive discipline; lift/carry athletic equipment; maintain composure. Benefits include $50/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree
- College degree preferred
- Previous volleyball coaching or playing experience
- Ability to lift or carry athletic equipment
- Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
- Models professional conduct and sportsmanship
- Instruct athletes about strategy, skills, and rules of the game
- Motivate student-athletes to perform
- Schedules practices in consultation with Athletic Director
