Job Summary
Middle Level Teacher (Social Studies) plans and delivers standards-aligned instruction for grades 6-8, leads inquiry-based lessons and labs, provides targeted interventions (e.g., Tier 2) using data tools (MAP, IXL), mentors students, and collaborates with TBTs/PLCs while aligning with district PBIS and MTSS frameworks; responsibilities include supervising students, communicating with families, and adhering to Ohio licensure standards; preferred qualifications include experience with PBL/STEM, restorative/trauma-informed practices, and CTE coursework; requires a valid Ohio teaching license and ability to meet background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education
- Valid Ohio Teaching License for Middle Childhood (4–9), Adolescent/Secondary (7–12), or appropriate Multi-Age licensure for specific electives
- Ability to pass FBI and State (BCI) background checks
