Job Summary
Middle Level Math Teacher responsible for standards-aligned instruction for grades 6-8, using district curriculum and instructional resources; design and facilitate inquiry-based lessons, labs, and simulations; lead targeted interventions (Success Labs) to address learning gaps; provide small-group and individualized instruction using data tools (MAP, IXL); establish routines aligned with PBIS; act as a mentor and collaborate with Teacher-Based Teams and PLCs; maintain communication with families; adhere to district policies and Ohio Licensure Code of Professional Conduct; utilize Mathematics CRA instructional sequences and digital platforms (Desmos, Zearn) to enhance mathematical reasoning; leverage data analysis and differentiation to support diverse learners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education
- Valid Ohio Teaching License for Middle Childhood (4–9), Adolescent/Secondary (7–12), or appropriate Multi-Age licensure for specific electives
- Ability to pass Federal (FBI) and State (BCI) background checks
