Middle Level Science/CTE STEM Teacher @ HRM #1658

The classroom teacher, under the direction of the Building Principal, will create a program and class environment favorable to learning and personal growth of students by implementing district-approved curriculum; motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation in life; establish good relationships with students, parents and staff; document student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and administration; maintain professional competence through in-service education and professional growth activities. Responsibilities include centering instruction on high expectations for student achievement, engaging students in learning, using questioning and discussion techniques, designing coherent instruction, assessing student learning, maintaining records, communicating with families and the school community, collaborating with colleagues, and growing professionally. Requirements include a valid Washington State teaching certificate with endorsement, fingerprint clearance, I-9 eligibility, CPR/First Aid if required, and related trainings; the position is governed by the Monroe Education Association collective bargaining agreement.
