Job Summary
Implement reading and math interventions in one-on-one or small group settings with students who need additional academic support. Provide academic support in core subjects through homework help and tutoring while documenting student supports and periodically administering assessments to track achievement. Motivate students and maintain their interest by setting a positive example in timeliness, attendance, and professionalism. Deliver this after-school academic support to Dream Center students at North Jr./North High from September through May.
Required Qualifications
- Middle/High School Based Tutor
- Part-Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt
- Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:30-5pm
- September-May
- Implement reading and math interventions in one-on-one or small group settings
- Provide academic support in core subjects through homework help and tutoring
- Document student supports that are implemented
- Periodically administer assessments and progress monitoring with students
- Motivate and maintain students' interest
- Set a positive example in all areas, including timeliness, attendance, and professionalism
- Ensure students make significant growth in meeting or exceeding grade-level standards and expectations for reading and mathematics
- Provide academic support to Dream Center students after school at North Jr./North High
